Minutes of the meeting held on 12th February 2007 were approved and signed by the chairman.
The following declarations were made:
Cllr Burrows declared that he was not a member of the committee.
Cllr Buskin declared a personal interest in planning application 07/0436/FUL, being a distant neighbour.
Members unanimously recommended Refusal. They said the amendments did not address the objections raised with the previous applications. They reiterated their reasons for refusal as:
a) loss of privacy to 26 Boundary Park
b) overdevelopment
c) unsafe vehicular and pedestrian access

Members agreed that there was sufficient space for the proposed extension and therefore unanimously recommended Approval

Members agreed that their objections to development at this site remained as previous stated on all earlier applications. They therefore unanimously recommended Refusal on the grounds of:
a) overdevelopment
b) out of character with the area
c) loss of light to neighbouring properties

Members unanimously recommended Approval but requested the Clerk to point out to EDDC Planning Department that the application was for a new utility room and not a new porch.
Members were concerned that once again an application was being submitted that was principally the same as one previously refused. They re-confirmed their previous objections and recommended Refusal by 10 votes and 1 abstention (Cllr Mrs Partridge-Hogbin) on the grounds of:
a) Overdevelopment
b) out of keeping with area
c) adverse impact on neighbouring shops, loss of light to shops

Members requested the Clerk to invite Mr Stephen Belli, new EDDC Development Control Officer, to the next convenient Planning Committee meeting.
